Larry the reel works fine but much heaver than the Solo reel. It has a better drag and a free spool button but the handles are too large and get in the way I will see if I have a smaller set off another reel to fit. Also it doesn't balance out like the Solo reel on the same pole. I will also try it out on a pole with a reel seat in the middle of the handle and see how that works. It's hard to beat a Solo and bottom reel seat for pitching in shallow water or fishing tops.

Nice pics..and yes it was high and muddy..my goal is to never be shut out..so its always good to boat a fish for sure..
Adam, here are some pictures of my rod holder. The frame with the rod holders on it is glued together but the long pipe from that frame to the seat is drilled with a bolt on each end so I could take it apart for storage. I hope this helps.
