    Default Henderson/Pelba Gage/Boat Launch

Henderson is on a fast rise.....from 6 1/2' to over 10'.....Lake Bigeaux is muddy and has a fast current....also, the public launch at the rest area was opened Tuesday morning....Wednesday (12/7) was a very humbling day....took my wife's BIL from Austin, Tx (CDC Bumper Pull)...he did catch a Choupique about 8#.....

I'm thinking that Henderson will drop pretty fast unless they have the gates shut because the Atchafalaya River at Butte La Rose is at 3.16' which is low.

Any tips for a newbie to Lake Henderson? Planning to take a trip there tomorrow using shiners. Launching from the Welcome Center. No secret fishing spots needed just ideas.

to the Louisiana Forum of CDC....I just saw this so you probably are already there....I would have told you to look for good (not muddy) water...that would be west from the launch.....most of the muddy stuff is coming down Lake Bigeaux....I think this fast rise is slowing things down...
