Black Lake report
Me, my son and my buddy got a chance to spend the day on the north end of the lake Sat. We got out there around 5am and setup for opening morning of duck season.We got some early hot and heavy wood duck shooting, then put the guns away and pulled out the ultralights.
my son picked up the 1st sac
The bite was slow but we worked our way down the Stretch fishing along the channel picking up a few here and there.
my ol buddy from high school came up from Alexandria to hunt & fish with us
I caught this monster haha
All in all we had a great day. They haven't really turned on up on the north end yet but we ended up keeping 18 sacs (none which you'd call a slab!) 7 goggle-eye and 6 fillet size bream. It's only gonna get better from here on
