Default Fishing Poverty Point in October?

My camp is at Tensas, so I fish Lake Bruin a good bit at the first part of the hunting season. Never tried Poverty Point, but it's real close. What should I expect in October as the water starts to cool down?

Most folks fish the deeper water in the coves on the southeast side

Fish can be caught shallow or deep, but gets better once it really cools off. If you are close to Bruin, I would fish Yucatan. Would have it almost all to yourself

I second that. YUCATAN is where I would focus on.

It's Miss. River oxbow and the water is falling usually in October. Not a lot of people thiamine of year and if u get on them it can produce a limit of 1.5-3lb slabs! Just find under water trees and trash piles from high water and it's on. Good luck.

If you catch it when its right you will never ask what's special about it again. But with that said it has been slow lately.
