hey fellas, i have not been posting much simply cuz i have not been fishing much AT ALL!! i think i have only been about 4 times since 01 january. but i have been checking the board and keeping up with yall. and i have been getting my mind right for d'arbonne this fall. just wanted to post some info here. i apologize for the length of this post. but i have a lot of things i have thought about and wanted to pass this on to yall.

the dates for d'arbonne every year are the second friday of november. and then the following saturday. most of us get there on thursday at some point. so this year the dates are 11th and 12th november. with most arriving on the 10th.

i have the group cabin reserved for thursday, 10 november thru sunday, 13 november. in this group cabin we have two sides of the lodge. each side, as i recall has 12 bunk beds (24 total) and each side also has a "counselor's room", which has a bunk bed in a small "bedroom". there are about 4 showers on each side, along with about 4 commodes. so we can easily sleep 25, with no one having to be on a top bunk. this cabin is open to ANYONE who needs a place to stay. we should have plenty of parking in the circle drive for trucks and boats, just might wanna bring a long extension cord in case you are not close to the cabin.

i have already talked to green shiner (donnis) and juicy (joshua and warren) about staying in this with me. i truly think the best way to do it is just divide the cost of the cabin between how ever many we have staying there. what are yalls thoughts??

now, the group cabin has a really nice commercial kitchen. it does have a fryer, but it is small. and from talking to lance, the head ranger at the park, it is a booger to drain and clean, which we will have to do if we use it. so here is what i am thinking. we will have plenty of fridge space and oven and stove space. i think there is also a huge ice machine, but i am not sure. but we still need to bring our outdoor fryers. the good thing is we have a huge screened in porch and a front porch which are both covered, we can set the fryers up on. this way if we get rain or drizzle, we dont have to worry and scramble to cover our fryers. there is also an outdoor sand volleyball court, and i hear pawpaw gene has issued a blanket challenge to anyone that wants to battle. LOL we shoudl be able to have over 75 people eat inside the cabin. this is the real luxury of having the group cabin. we have simply outgrown cabin #9. lol

i have been in the process of putting together a list of the vendors that have donated door prizes in the past. if anyone has a connection with anyone or any company, feel free to contact them yourself, or shoot me the info and i will contact them. i have a letter that i use as a template when i send an email to a company, but i always change it to be applicable for that certain company. if you want a copy of it, let me know and i will email it to you.

i can't think of anything else that is pressing right now. i know i am already tired of this heat. i am ready for some cooler weather to crank up the fall crappie bite. i miss all of yall and can't wait to visit and catch up in november.
