Last year I had the cabin at the bottom of the slope...I think it was number 2. Since 9 was open, I just booked it since I know I don't have to haul everything up/down a hill. :) Looking forward to the trip! I get a bonus trip in October since the kids troops will be camping in the park one weekend. Maybe I can get some extra fishing done and have a fish fry while we're there...
i talked to jc morgan (southernchuter), and he told me about a place that just opened up right by jakes launch. its called TATERBUGS. they have the largest selection of crappie stuff in town. also they sell shiners. i talked to one of the owners. he said they would make sure to open earlier for our gathering to make sure we could get everything we needed. also, they just might make some donations to our door prizes. yall check them out if you are over that way.
just wanna reiterate this in case anyone needs a bunk at darbonne. i have the group cabin rented. it will sleep 52 (26 bottom bunks). anyone is welcome to stay in there with us. it's probably not suited for wives/kids, cause its gonna be a bunch of nasty guys in there, but if your group is a bunch of dudes, c'mon and stay with us. we will figure out how we will split the cost once we get there. but that is the least of my worries!! so anyone that needs a bunk, i have ya covered. just let me know if you want a bunk!!

I rec'd a phone call recording today about the draw down at D'arbonne. Pretty good that they let people know early enough to change plans if needed.

If is not to late I would like to put my name in the hat for the gathering. Due to a wedding the Friday night I will not be able to arrive earlier than Saturday morning. I will stay in my tent Saturday night and Sunday night and fish Monday before returning home. I will participate in the Saturday night cook out in anyway needed. I am Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Deacon, there will be room in the Group Cabin for you. But if you choose the tent, that is ok too.Quote:
