Good morning all,
I have been making a couple successful bream traps and had me wondering about crawfish traps and the best place to set them. To start off I'm not a native Louisianan (sp?) moved here from El Paso from the army...probably the furthest you can go from crawfish.
I bought those crawfish traps that look like minnow traps from bass pro's, but I have no success with em' ( used fresh bream).
My question is if there is a better trap to use that I could make? I saw a pillow trap and a pyramid trap and they don't look too hard to make. Also if I'm by a stream and see plentiful amounts of chimneys on the bank is it safe to say I should set a trap nearby? The stream has a slight current from flooding a while back. Any information would help as my Cajun wife loves the little mud bugs but I cant seem to catch hardly any.
