Went down there at lunch time in shreveport and got a mess of bluegill, around 11/12. Also had a couple catfish but they spit the hook out reeling them in. And lastly I snatched a snapping turtle.

caught gills on baby crawlers/ crappie nibbles
caught cat and turtle with chicken liver.


hope someone else can have as good of success.

Yeah it's a shame to eat something so pretty. Love the colors on a bluegill....but they are tasty.

Rob it's the stream that runs from colquitt/dean rd and empties into Wallace lake. You can bank fish from under colquitt bridge or Mansfield rd bridge. Look on google maps around colquitt and dean rd you'll see it.

water is calm with slight current, about the color of creamed coffee. Keep your bait right on the bank and you'll be pulling them in.
