    Default Report: Black Lake 2/12/2016

Me and Momma headed back to our honey hole this afternoon to find out our honey had moved. We had to explore a little but found some nice ones. They had moved to 18-20 FOW and we fished 10-12 FD. Cajun Cricket seemed to be the hot jig today. Caught some small ones we threw back and kept 27 nice ones. Saw a couple sun bathing on a log, what a sight! Enjoyed some good coffee and a nice sunset. Then it was off to Grayson's Bar B Que for some good sandwiches for the trip home. Momma's birthday is Sunday, yeah, she's a Valentine baby! I said, "Momma, what would you like for your birthday?" She said, "Take me fishing!" I am blessed!

I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

Great photos, Thanks. I went to school at NSU back in the 70s. There was one year when Black Lake was drained way down. We would launch at a landing, I believe called Chandler's. We would go under the bridge until there was just a bayou, as that part of the lake was drained. Man, we caught a bunch of bass. Great memories. On the way home we would stop at a Fried chicken place in Natchitoches and trade bass for chicken.
