Yes I have fished that area we go to the tank battery out there but haven't been in a while

where is the tank battery?

On Google Earth it's Bayou chevreuil there's a oil pipeline at the beginning of the canal that area is known as the tank battery

yeah... I gotcha.. fished their 30 years ago plenty when I was at Nicholls. passed the other day by random chance and saw a guy at launch showing off some giants.

I catch my grass shrimp by passing a fine mesh dip net under weed beds. They will be in the root systems. There is not a better bait.

I agree there is not a better bait but it seems to still be a little early to catch them around where I am but I will be trying them soon. I always caught the grass shrimp when it was a little warmer.
