A few crappie and something entirely different
Gave cypress a shot on 23 and 24 Jan, Man was it cold. water temps were in the 40's, I fished the main channel in 20FOW with shiners only caught 4 both days. Pretty slow. To fight the cold weather though, the wife and I took our biennial pilgrimage to Cabo Mexico to enjoy some sun and fishing. We had a great time and caught a respectable fish. If you squint real hard in the one picture you can almost see Delacroix in the background. I wanted to release him but he was gill hooked, what a beautiful fish! Looking forward to getting back to the crappie. Looks like you guys have found the early spawn and it's starting to heat up! can't wait to give the bend a shot in a few weeks.
