so challenging.....just look at the variance in water levels over the past 12 months.....it's either rising or falling....

Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
Over 8' change. Looks like a roller coaster.
But it's a beautiful place and just down the I10. If it wasn't so hard to get over the MS River bridge I'd go mo offten.

It's all about timing.....never go on Fridays.....Saturdays and Sundays best for no traffic....except for late Sunday afternoon traffic coming back in to BR......Mon-Thur....westbound traffic worse at 5 AM, folks getting off at Hwy 1.....westbound good at 6-6:30 AM.....afternoons I try to come back across before 3 PM....
All this is assuming no wrecks either way.....you know what that can do....HTH.....

Bruce, or anyone who wants to answer. When is the best time to fish Henderson? Between 10 and 8 feet?
I know you should always go when you get a chance but I get discouraged easily especially with the water rising like it is right now.
"ranger-go-getter" can probably answer that the best...or "The Fisherman".....I would think it best when down around 6 or 8 feet (Pelba Gage).....my thinking behind that is the fish are more congregated due to less places to go....personally, I have caught anywhere between 6 and 16 feet.....and you generally can find good water color..... just have to go find it....I like fishing the RR piling when the piling are about 2-3 ft out of the water...I believe that is around 10 or 12 feet....rising water will not keep me from going.....I think the barometer has more effect on them....
