19 fish today and they was some big fish all right on the bottom i fished in the open water 1st and picked up most of the fish before 9am then moved into youngbloods and picked up a few more there was 8 or 9 boats at the big curve by youngbloods and only 2 out in the open water so im thinking the fish must be at youngbloods or was there at some point last week. I did try pulling my crank baits from the open water to youngbloods but i did not get a hit on them yet BUT i will not give up on them I know there is a place for them i just got to get there . the water temp is 59 at day light and 61 at noon when i pulled out . Also the fog was so thick this morning when i left phills landing before day light i could not see 5 foot in front of the boat so i went back and sat at the landing until day break well the truth is I thought i was still going to larto but i must have made a circle and come back to the landing and thought well i guess god put me here so ill stay till i can see better. I may go back in the morning and try again

I ended up catching 14 in 2.5 hrs this afternoon with my dad at Bundicks. Not much size to them but enough to make a meal. Was pleasantly surprised b/c the last time I caught at Bundicks was over 3 years ago before they drained the lake. Here is a picture of our catch.
They hit on several different colors so can't say which one did better than the other. Fished grey ghost, red/chrt, blk/chrt, blue thunder and one on the special made jig that pastor made me specifically for bundicks (blue/green/chrt). Forgot the camera at the house so only got a picture at the house.

What speed are you running the cranks? This weekend I had to run at 1.3mph to get a bite... running 15 feet deep in 16fow that way the crappie have to hit the bait or get out of the way

Good reports. I went duck hunting Saturday for the second split opener. NO DUCKS ! did manage to kill a stupid snow goose. He was alone and lit in the pond but out of range. He stayed there an hour and finally decided to leave. Where does he go? Straight to the blind. I see a goose gumbo in my future.
