Heard and read about Grenada and also passed through once while doing work for Centennial Pipeline but never fished it.Seems to be the place for 3lb+ fish but hear Lake Washington also in Mississippi is a great spot for fish.Will make a trip to both one of these days.

On another note; this pic is why some Mississippi lakes are so well known as great crappie lakes. They've had restrictions and are increasing them. I'm not advocating Louisiana duplicate this but I wish they would do something to protect some of our better fisheries. Where else can you go and keep 50 crappie of any size? I have a self imposed 10" minimum and normally go larger. Crappie are just like most other living creatures; they have to mature a little before they fill out.

Southern Chuter, the lowest the water got to in October was 206, very possible it won't be that high in March this next year. The majority of October we could put in at Bryant, got to be at least 207, and we rarely get to put in there in March, very rare.
Keep Torrence in mind if you plan to fish the Scuna side, 206 and lower you can use it, matter fact its the only ramp on the Scuna side usable at that low of a level.
It is a beautiful lake, that is also on my bucket list to fish. I went to visit my nephew in Tupelo in September, and while looking at the map Grenada was only 45 minutes detour returning home. I can see how the wind would be a challenge, the lake is big and no cover in the main lake. I would definitely use a guide first time out.
