I look around but don't post much.....mainly bass fish in the spring and summer and start for the sac-a-lait come November and of course with work, its not as often as I would like.....live 10 mins. from the complex and made my 2nd trip in last month....thought weather would be right in morning with cloud coverage. Started in Larto and had 2 bites with only one being caught in an hour. Left lake and went to Long Branch, with not bites. Switched to bass fishing for a while with no luck. Around 11 or so came back to Youngbloods landing and gave it one last try. Well either I figured them out or they just started biting....caught a few in 18' of water with jig(s) on bottom, then decided to try shallower and went to 10'-14'.....the key was to drag the bottom 2 jigs on the bottom real slooooow. Once if figured that out I was able to put fish in the boat. All were good size slabs with a few smalls mixed in. End up with 17, all fillet size, caught on jigs (solid chartreuse, black/chartreuse, red/chartreuse and brown/orange), another key point was to watch the graph to see where fish were positioned....majority were on the bottom or just a foot or 2 of the bottom.....hopefully i'll have more trips to come and can post a few reports....
