I went several times during the summer, didn't have much luck though. I have one of the green lights to attract the bait fish, it worked very good. Just could not catch any crappie though, caught a lot of bar fish. I have a co-worker that did well on Caney last winter at night. They were fishing right off the bottom, single pole tightline with just a light in the boat. I will be giving that a try in January. Good luck.

I have a green monster at my pier its in about 23ft of wAter, I catch stripes and large mouth on crank baits till I'm blue in the face. I'm real wanting to catch these perch. I do ok in the day time but I haven't had good luck at night. I fished for 2 hours tonight with shimmers and jigs and did not get a bump. My neighbor caught 17 just before dark in the same place I don't no what I'm doing wrong or if there just not bitting.

You did nothing wrong, your neighbor caught em all.
