Hey Doc, what do you mean by a "double knot dropper loop around the jig head?" And, why only 8 different color jigs. Is there a limit of poles you can use on D'Arbonne?

Pastor. I was meaning if a fella only held a rod in each hand, he would have 4 jigs on each rod. Therefore he would have 8 different options until he found out what they wanted. But there is not a pole limit on Louisiana lakes.

A double knot dropper loop is how I rig up my jigs and my shiner rigs, but I do them a tad different. When you do a plain double knot dropper loop, you just pin point where you want the loop and pinch the line right there. Then you make a circle with the pinched loop and poke the pinched end through the circle twice. This is the double part. What I have found is if you only poke it thru once, and you get a big fish, he will pull so hard on the loop that he pulls ur loop out and your jig is directly on the line. Loop is gone. I'll be happy to show ya at Darbonne. When I do my jigs I thread the jig on before I do my loops, so when you poke the loop thru the circle you poke the jig thru too. When I put an Aberdeen hook on a loop, I tie the loop first, then pinch the line and poke it thru the eye of the hook and then around the hook and pull tight.

I do the same Doc. Thread all my jigs on and tie the bottom jig first and work your way up. I go back through the loop 3 times instead of 2, won't pull out with 3

I think I understand what you are talking about Doc, but a video just might clarify things. Thanks.

I do mine a little different and would be glad to show you up there. Slab Hunter showed me a way years ago and avoids the problem with the loop being pulled out if you catch a big fish.
