Hey fellow fishermen (and ladies), Hope everyone is doing well!

Question; does anyone know of a decent place to put in on Chenniere Lake when the water is this low? I have a 16ft. Spectrum with a 40hp motor so it's not a huge boat. I don't like putting in at the dam because I am afraid that hump at the end of the ramp will pull my wheel mounts loose on my trailer?

Back in 1988 I had a stretch of two weeks at Thanksgiving that I was catching my limit of bass every time I went, (I just found my pictures), but the water wasn't drawn down and I was borrowing my Father-in-Law's 12 ft. boat. I was fishing the bushes out of area 6 and I had some nice 3 and 4 lb fish mixed in. I had just moved here to West Monroe in 1986 and talked to Ron Wood at the LDWF about Chenniere and he said fall and winter was the best time to fish the lake because the water quality was best at that time. Then years later he started draining the lake in fall and winter, I still don't think it helps anything.
