    Default CLECO not dead yet

Im still fishing Cleco and still picking up some fish this is today catch I been getting about 30 to 40 every day I go witch is most Saturdays and Sundays , fish medium to small every once in a while ill get a 1.4 to 1.5 LB fish im still looking for that 2.25 to 2.5 lb fish i know he or she is in that lake and wanting a shiner I just got to make it bite my hook

I did hit a stump with my motor and did some damage 2 Sundays ago Im not sure how I cause so much damage because I was not going very fast at all but when I hit it I was just fixing to get it up on plane so it was right at take off and after I hit my motor was vibrating bad at low speeds so I took it in Monday and had it checked , Well 4800. Dollars later I now have a brand new lower unit good thing I had insurance on my boat but I still had to pay 500. for my deductible. The repair shop told me that what ever I hit must have torqued he lower unit housing . this is the pictures of the damage to the lower unit it relay don't look bad at all to me . The good news is I brought the boat to the shop on Monday and I picked it up Friday I didn't miss and days fishing

Man, that was an expensive stump! At least you're still on the fish!

Congratulations on staying on the fish. Glad to hear you got your boat fixed. Thanks for posting. After I paid off my new boat 2 months after I bought it, I almost canceled the insurance I had to buy when I bought it. After reading your post I will never drop it. That could turn out to be the best $32.00 per month I spend.

its a evinrude E Tec 115 I asked the dealer why such a small impact could do so much damage and he told me that the newer motors have such high toque that the lower units don't hold up to damage like they use to do . I can remeber when I was a teenager , my dad had a 75 HP Mariner on a big flat bottom boat and I have hit stuff so hard with it, I would have to look back and make sure the motor was still on the boat , but it kept on going and never had to know

Nice catch and thank God you had insurance on that motor! $4800 would be a hard hit!

Awesome catch. Looks like you might have hit some concrete by the looks of your propeller and scrapes on the side of your lower unit. Thank God for insurance.
