Usually best in the cooler fall or the spring spawn. Someone will pipe in the names of some guides. I had 2 friends limit last week with a guide. Will try and find out who he was and post it. Seems to hot to go right now. Welcome aboard and hope to see some posts and pix by you. If you want go to your profile and click edit profile on the left side of the page. Then put the cursor in front of Louisiana and type in your town. "D"

Welcome to the forum. I only go when it's cooler as well, not in this heat. For a guide, a good one is Coon Gillespie. I have spoke to him several times. Operates in the mid lake area (SRA Cypress Bend park). He now has a website:

My buddy hired Coon this past Saturday....only kept 5 fish, and only fished 3 brush piles ....$300 for 5 fish....It wasn't the best day though with major high pressure system on us.....I would wait until October to book a guide trip....I will be there Columbus Day, Lord willing.....Noe Garcia used to be a good guide....also Living the Dream Guide Service....they're a lil pricey though....hth
