Bruce, if I'm thinking right, it is behind the rest stop on I-49 above Opelousas. It is not labeled on Google maps, but just follow I-49 til it shows the rest stop.

That's the place. It's a big "borrow" lake formed when they use the dirt to elevate the interstate through there. I'd figure it's pretty deep because the interstate is elevated pretty high in that section.

Deepest spot i found in a limited amount of time was 20 ft.
