    Default Still Tough Going

Went to Lacassine for 6 today. Just over 1 fish per hour. The fish have a real wimpy bite. Not hitting the bait hard at all. There doesn't seem to be any real pattern. Stopped off at the Mermentau launch on Hwy 14 and gave them to a fisherman coming out with 5. Not a real nice fish for him or me.

Same over here , weird bite . I foul hooked the first 4 or 5 this past weekend . Mainly just felt the weight of the fish the rest of the time , no real thumps .

How did the water look? I still haven't gone. The fishing forecast has been below 50%. It will be 80% to 90% Thursday and Friday. I plan on going then. You use shiners or jigs?

The water looks OK, but nothing yet showing on the brush piles. Seems like they are mostly on the deeper banks in fairly close. Only use jigs here. I won't get to go again until next week which is not making me too sad with the heat.
