I went for a short afternoon trip today after the rain to the Bell City Drainage Ditch. Water temperature was 84 degrees and was stained murky. I kept 7 and threw back about a dozen. I caught my fish on brush piles in 8 fow fishing shiners 18in to 24in deep. They wouldn't touch a jig or a spinner bait today. Today they were just playing with the bait and wouldn't take it. I only caught one or two per brush pile. The fishing was super slow. Everyone I talked to weren't catching. I got to name that little white perch today. Its the third trip in a row to catch him off the same brush pile. Its official his name is Trey.
