    Default Caddo Adventures 4/25 & 5/2 2015

First post so hopefully I get it right! The sacs are still hiding (from me that is) but the bluegill and red ears seem to enjoy being caught! Went April 25 and kept 61 gills/redears and 1sac that my wife caught. All on crickets! Second trip on May 2nd there were no sacs to be caught but plenty more (44) gills and redears on crickets. Caught a 14-1/8" bass about a foot from the boat! He didn't make the frying pile. Needed some therapy after working so much lately and I sure enjoyed it!!!

Wow, that's a lotta bream! Sounds like a fun trip. Can't beat the fast action of bream fishing when you can catch them on the beds!

    Welcome to the board!

Thanks everyone! Vet you are correct on the red ears being chinquapin. ProG I actually filleted all of them. Takes a little longer then my scaling technique but when they're big enough I just fillet em. Wife doesn't care for the whole fried but I scale me some from time to time.

Very nice catch! The biggest bream I have ever caught came from Caddo. Huge ones there. Nice post, and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to c.c Fantastic first post and pix! I sometimes scale them and filet off one side for the wife and fry the other on the bone. I filet better on one side anyway.
