Made a trip to the Bell City Drainage Ditch today. I kept 12 sacs and had a bunch of throw backs under 8 inches. I went through 4 dozen shiners and was catching 2 or 3 per shiner once I started running low. I had a blast. For a while I was pulling one in every cast. All fish were caught on Blk/Chartreuse Road Runners and shiners. I caught 3 on the RR then fished in tight with shiners 24in deep. They would not touch a jig. I only caught on one brush pile that was fish-able. I had to beach the boat. That east south east wind was brutal today. It was blowing at 30+mph. Most my brush piles are protected from a south wind but it was blowing so hard it was funneling down the canals. I tried anchoring but got blown around too much. The fish were slow to take the shiner. They would wait 30 secs to a minute before they would take it. All the fish were in a 3ft radius off that pile. The water at the launch looked like yoohoo but the farther south I went the clearer it got. They were pumping water out of the marsh and it cleared it up good.
