Default Red River at St Maurice

Went to Red River after work yesterday to see what they were doing for this weekend. Caught 3 males in 3ft of water and 2 females full of eggs in 7ft of water. Eggs were firm, but starting to get a little bloody. Anything orange for jigs.

Sure looks like a great place to fish Skipper. Congrats on catching some nice ones. Do you have any idea what that hinge is doing on the cypress tree?

Just teasing, very nice quality fish Skipper. Don't need a box full with four or five of those. Water looks excellent, I figured it would be high. Or is it?

Thanks for the report Mo'nBack. Those look like some good fish. Do you put in at the bayou ramp and then go out to the river?

Not sure about the hinge, but it's been there at least 25 years! LOL! Water level is just right! I put in at either the state ramp or the Midway Marina. The Midway is a little closer to where I fish.
