Had a great time today other than the rain...Got to meet and take fishing one of america's finest Army vets. Made me proud to help out on that. And enjoyed meeting Southern Chuter (James). Quite a nice fellow and I hope to meet up with him again on the water one day. That was actually my first trip to Darbonne and wow what a lake. I definitely intend on going back.... a lot. We ended up putting 6 fish in the boat, biggest 1.44 and from what I heard that was a pretty dang good average for the day....I heard of one boat with 10, Southern Chuter got 8, then our 6. Most came in empty handed. There may have been more but nobody was bragging about it. Pretty tough with the weather movng through. And for the conditions: Water temp 60°. As for depth, I caught 4 in 15 ft, and the 2 biggest in 2 feet. So theyre on the move. Where the biggest concentrations of fish are:not in my freezer.
