    Default Moving to LA

Hey guys, I'm moving from southeast Missouri (Reelfoot Lake) to D'arbonne here in the next 5 weeks. Looking for a house now, as well as figuring out what to do with our current home, checking out schools down there (our son is 10), and all the other stuff that goes along with a move. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys and geting some info on the lake, as I've never been there. I'll be down the week prior to the CM tourney to pre-fish, I can't wait!

Also, while I've done quite a bit of research on the fishing down there, I love to hunt too and I know nothing about the hunting in LA, so any help there would be much appreciated too!

    Your soon-to-be neighbor,

Nice! Got a few schools to chose from. Got a public, a private, and a charter school. Finding a place to hunt shouldn't be a problem, as long as you don't mind joining a club.
I think you know where to fish...

Welcome to the state! I am sure I will meet you at one of the gatherings up there, It is a little far for me to make that trip more than once a year.

Hello Josh, glad you're coming down and looking forward to seeing you again. If I can be of help just text me; I'll send you a few pics of homes for sale on my side of the lake. I don't know of any monthly lakefront rentals open at this time.

Hello and welcome to Sportsmans Paradise! I would suggest to use BayouBucks.com/forums as a hunting resource, Im a member there and there are some great guys that can help you out. (dont tell them you know me, other BB members on CDC can vouch that I may be a bit opinionated when I need to haha)

You are in a great area for some public land deer hunting, there are 7 maybe even more public land areas within an hours drive from you that I can think of (kisatchie winn district, tensas NWR, russel sage WMA, and Jackson Bienville being the standouts from what I hear)

Not really going to be able to help you much on the darbonne fishing, I live further south but Im sure there are some guys here that can point you in the right direction. As always the search box is also a great resource for knowledge. Good luck
