Crappie are very prolific in most pond situations.I think if mother nature is alive and well she'll take care of it and she is responsible for the ups and downs that makes ALL bodies of water as inconsistent as they are......so...FISH ON!!!!!!!catch a few, mount one, release whats too small to filet....and enjoy the lake......

Sometimes nature needs a little help, just look at some of the species that were almost wiped out by the human race.

mother nature can take care of nature but she can not take care of human greed.....

Not gars, gators, bass, etc etc?

I would think on those lake type areas people would want to target the poachers. Meaning the unsportsmanlike sportsmen.
You can only limit the NATURAL food chain to a small extent.
