    Default Boat Update

Well put some water under it for the first time today. Had a good bit to do on the motor - rebuild lower unit, put new timer base and linkage, rebuilt carbs, link & sync etc,. Installed new steering cable, Mounted trolling motor, hooked her up and hit the Port. Ran great and couldnt be happier. Notice no rods in the boat..didnt need em...as soon as that rig hit the water the crappie gave up and jumped in! Name: Boat1.jpg

Great looking boat there, I bet it does fish good. just right for fishing the trees in Bistineau and you got it looking like a new one.
Hope I get to see you fishing in it soon.

I bet it rides smooth. Great picture of the hull cutting thru the water.

Thanks for the kind words everybody...PS There was one down by my right knee in the cubby under the gunwale. I know I know shoulda been strapped on. I was so excited to finally get to try it out my mind went to mush. I stayed right close to the boat launch and did a few laps just to make sure the motor would run good under load. The wife stayed on the dock and shot some pictures. Performed beautifully. I stopped and lowered the trolling motor and to see how that felt...works as advertised, much better and quieter than the one on my old boat actually. Seat is well placed and very comfy. Lookin forward to finishing up & getting it all rigged out with rod holders etc..and trying out that livewell.
