I'm fairly new to sac fishing (more of a bass guy). However, this year my father-in-law and I decided to give sac-a-lait a try after seeing reports and catching a few tiny ones that ended up in his aquarium. My question is: is it worth putting out brush piles in areas with relatively low water (5'-8')? I notice that most fisherman fish the banks from the middle, but I've had more luck fishing isolated grass in the middle of backwater canals (found by my fish finder). Would it be worth it in areas like canals around Lake Bouef, Orange Grove, and Bayou Black?

Btw, fried sac sandwiches have got me hooked!
