Neighbor and I made a trip Tues. and I wentback Wed. by myself. Tuesday was the better day,
fish being real aggressive and not
nd
not too tight to cover. We kept 25 nice black sacalait using 1/32 hair jigs under a cork. Fish were around 18 inches deep. I hit the same area real thorough Wed. for 2 hours but they were a.not biting b.gone/moved c. fished out, take your pick. Very frustrating to fight that wind and not catch. I decided to fish an area that produced last year but had produced no fish in the previous two trips. You guessed it, here they are and ready to bite. I caught 16 in the next 40 minutes or so. Same bait, 1/32 dark hair jig under a cork. Total for Wed. was 20 sacalait and a couple nice bass for mama… ended up being one of those trips I'll remember for a long time. Not a single sacalait caught over the two days had eggs…Here are a couple photos….BC Sorry about the pictures, had a hard time installing them.
Wow....good job

Nice catch BC.
they should still be spawining there looks like all those are males females probably laying out in deep water waiting to move up. with sacailait its like the army . males are upshallow for days on end building nest etc female just moves up to lay eggs then males move back up to guard nest. that keeps male fish in the line of fire most of the time. so much for equal rights lol
Nice catch there BC ! Leave a few for me...I cant fish till Friday and I am heading up to TB to chase those green trout as you call it :-). I think southern slabs hit the nail on the head with his post. I caught nothing but males last trip too. I sent you a PM.
Very nice catch. Congrats
