Default Third time is a charm, well almost........

Fished three days in a row. The first day with Linda in Orange Grove and a number of other canal in the area. Zilt, not one sac, only 4 bass. But I heard rumors. At least we had supper.

Day two. Fished with Armand near Lake Bouef. Zilt again, oh wait 1 small throw back just at quitting time. Armond caught around 8 I think. I was too embarrassed to take any fish home. Again I had heard rumors.

Day three, fished with my son. Together we caught around 30 but could only keep 12. The others were around 4 inches long. Besides the 12 sacs we had 8 bass caught mostly by me. Great day on the water even though the wind tried to bully us at times. Good trip which we enjoyed.

I caught one small fish that had to be dispatched. It was no longer than 6 inches and when I cleaned it I found that it had eggs almost ready to be laid. I didn't think fish this this small were mature enough to lay.

    Awesome day! Congrats PPG!!
By the way, that is why we continue to have so many sacs in the hurricane churned and ever changing environment down here...they can spawn their first spring! Great news for us and all the more reason to release the small guys when they aren't accidental casualties of course...

Great report Mr. Gene. Congratulations! Hey, if we filled our ice chest every time we went, it might get a little boring. Naw! Who am I kidding. Catching crappie would never become boring. LOL.
