    Default Blake Bayou 2-12-15

Well, after almost a month, I finally took off and went fishing. And fishing was all that it was. There was no catching involved today. Fished about 4 hours without a thump. I talked to folks in 3 other boats and they were having the same luck as me. A fellow who lives there told me that he crappie fishes every day, but hasn't caught a fish in about 5 days. He said they left the bayou when the water came back up. Still, it was nice to get out for the day and run the boat some. Beautiful day the Lord gave us. Just a little windy! Water temp was 57 degrees and it was pretty dirty. Maybe next time.

GONFISHN, Black Bayou is about 12 or 11 miles east of Natchitoches off of HWY 84.

I think these big swings in temperature along with with a high barometer has the fishing messed up.

Pastor, I'm sorry I didn't post this, but I went there last Sunday and came home with ZERO! I don't have internet at home, so I do a little from work. I did catch around 30 down at the dam, but they were all too small to keep.
