I couldn't stand it. I had to hit the water this afternoon. The weather was just too pretty. On the way to the ramp I looked in the rear view and the drivers side side bunk was hanging by one lag bolt. Nothing that new lag bolts and gorilla clue can't cure. I was excited it held on till I got across the 210 bridge and didn't lose it. I fished 3 hours and found 2 small sacs on an old log at the mouth of a cut. I caught them with a 1/8th chartreuse/black/chartreuse Road Runner with a turbo tail. First one was cast and slow retrieve and the second was vertical jigging. The river was murky and flowing at a pretty good speed. I tried tight lining at first and got a bump or 2 on an all black JD Courtney jig. I got the hits right off the bottom in 9 fow in the inside of a bend out of the current. A boat came around the bend and it was Fishing nut. He was out enjoying the weather too and said he didn't even get a bump. Nice to be out. I knew the water wasn't going to be clear and the forecast was only 15% for the day so I wasn't expecting much.![]()
