Made the trip down the airline to get some much needed repairs. Shop was closed so I made my way to JB's house. A freind of his was just leaving and told me JB can't get off the couch and would probaly be going in the nursing home by the end of the week.
I spoke with him for a few minutes and he asked if I had been catching. Told him Pigeon was on my list for tomorrow. He wanted to sell me a rake to punch grass with.
Sad day, but I new it was coming. Wished I had spent more time with him over the years.

A legend indeed. Sending prayers of comfort his way
He has touched a lot of peoples lives
That"s a shame. We lost our Legend last month on the west of the state Mr. JD Courney. Those old timers over the years forgot more about crappie fishing than the rest of us combined will ever learn.
Nursing home is tough for someone used to being in the outdoors. Thanks for the update.
Saddens my heart....I got a lot of respect for Mr. J.B. ........I have seen him in that boat out on the water several times......
Thanks for letting us know JR...........

RETIRED LOUISIANA CRAPPIE HUNTER
Thanks for the info...he has been a friend to me and my family for many, many years!
Glad I got to meet him about 2 months ago. Was looking forward to visiting with him again when I passed thru Erwinville. Sad. Will someone keep up with his business?
Thanks for the info JR, but sorry to hear it. I will include him in my prayers.
