BSCA to Assist Louisiana Hunters for Heroes in taking Veterans Fishing Event! Please visit La Hunters for Heroes to see what all they do!

As President of the Bayou State Crappie Association there have been many community activities that we as an organization have taken part in some small way. This upcoming event will be what I consider on of our most rewarding acts of Sportsmanship!


I need to confirm Members or non-Membes names that are committed to this event. The number of Veterans that will participate in this event will be a direct reflection of our involvement as Guides, Host and Companions for each Veteran.

This Event will take place on Lake D'Arbonne in Farmerville, La on March 21st. The event will be based from the Lake D'Arbonne State Park where La Hunters for Heroes have reserved Cabins to host our Veterans. There are approximately (20) Veterans, possibly more that are interested in becoming someones guest for a great day of fishing.

Also participating in this event are other organizations such as the Lake D'Arbonne Dutch Oven Cookers providing meals for these Veterans and Host!

This event Coin-Sides with our "King of Kings" Combo Crappie/Bass Tournament. You can participate in both events if you wish! So come take a Vet Fishing for the Day, Purchase a King of Kings ticket for $20 and a (3) chances to win up to $1500.00 in Cash to be given away and enjoy a great day on Lake D'Arbonne!

Yes Buster, these are disabled Vets. Some are local and others may be from Fort Polk and other locations. The list of Vets in need is large and Hunters for Heroes does a great job of providing activities for these men and women.
