Anybody heard any Puckett Lake reports, or is it still a little early?

There was a lot of trucks there yesterday evening, so I would assume the bite is on. The lake is still down, so watch out backing boat trailer in. Mine falls off the end of the ramp before my boat will launch, I pulled back out and left.
If you dont have time to do it right the first time, when are you going to find time time to fix it.

Want to slip off to somewhere, but can't decide where. Maybe Caney or Claiborne. Anyone ever fish Lake Lafourche this time of year? I've only fished there in the Spring.

Lafourche is vey slow this time of the year, you have small holes you can catch a few on . I'm most likely going soon so I'll post a report.
The fish were bitting yesterday, The fish will bite tomorrow,,, today I must buy my fish

Went to Lafourche on Saturday and put in at a friend's camp near Cat Island Grocery. Four hours of fishing and not one bump. Heard later that the ones being caught were in Marango area....good Luck, if you go .

Thanks for the report. I've done most of my fishing around the Cat Island area, but plan on venturing out more this year and seeing what I can find further down the lake.

On LaFourche if you launch at Marango Lake and take the first bayou to the left, there's a deep hole right before the dead end that sometimes holds white perch this time of the year. If you go from the landing all the way to LaFourche and turn left, I've seen people catching fish in the winter in the channel. Personally, I've never had a lot of luck there but do like to go during the spawn and look at the gators.
