    Default Darbonne - Mixing Hole

Anyone fishing the mixing hole for crappie? I went bass fishing with a co-worker today and saw large groups of shad in 12-15 ft of water. Lots of fish showing on the depth finder. An advice would be greatly appreciated!

Mark, mixing hole is just above the state park. The flat just below where all the curves are up next to the islands. Zing, I saw and read ur post but haven't been fishin too much. Plan to fix that tomorrow. If I do any info I'll post it to ya.

Only fish Darbonne once a year so I can't help you with that area. Sorry.

Mixing hole is big bass fishing area. Flat where the channel first comes into to lake and curves around a lot. It got its name because even after a moderate rain the water is really stirred up. At one time the satellite image on google earth showed this difference in clarity well.

At times they bite pretty good up that way. I've heard several reports of people catching them on the edge of the channel between the mixing hold and state park lately.
