Looks like a pretty place to fish! I was going to go in the morning, but now I've got something to do at 10 am. May consider making a trip to Cypress afterwards. Glad you caught enough to eat!

I arrived at the lake about 7:20 and quit fish around 12:30. I probably caught between 30 and 40 fish, but kept only 8 crappie and 2 very nice bream. I finally culled out 8 crappie that were big enough to filet out of the 30-40 I caught. The very small bite was on for me today. I don't know where the big fish were. But, I left with a good mess of fish so I ain't going to complain. I had a great time, the weather was perfect, and those little crappie hit like a freight train.
You will see the 2 jig colors I used. Most of the fish, especially the ones I kept, were caught on the red/chartreuse. For some reason it out-fished the gray ghost today.
Sorry for the late post. We had a young adult fish fry at church this afternoon and I was frying the fish.
Enjoy the pictures.
I think I will go to Caney in the morning.

Good goin Pastor. You enjoying that new boat?
Thanks 20watt. Yes I am enjoying the new boat. If I were going to complain about anything it might be the trolling motor. In my opinion the boat doesn't need a 75lbs motor. But, I will admit it will come in handy if I ever get caught in a 20 mph wind with the fish biting. I would compare it to a 4X4 truck; you don't always need the 4X4, but when you do, it sure is nice to have it.
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.
Love the lake pics.
Cool boat!
Ya can't no more do what ya don't know than ya can come back from where ya ain't been!
