    Default 10-22-14 Black Lake Campti

Well, thanks to Mr. J_ROW, I finally caught a few fish off of a top he put me on. I think he felt sorry for me because I hadn't had a bite. LOL. Any way, he showed me the top and motored off. Thanks J_ROW. I proceeded to catch 2 crappie, 2 huge bream, and 2 big old red ears off of that brush. Then, about 9:30 they got lock-jaw there and I moved to another location.

I don't know if I just happen to stumble across a few fish (like a blind sow finding a few acorns) or if they decided to finally turn on. But, about 10:00 I started catching crappie again. I finished the day with 14 crappie, 4 big bream, and 5 big old red ears or chinks. One of the crappie weighed 1lb 7oz.

Man, I need some rest before Friday. LOL. It was such a beautiful day that the Lord Jesus gave us today. Thank you, Jesus.

You had a pretty good day, Pastor. Were you using the grey ghost jig?

Yes, RMGeorge, I did have a bountiful and beautiful day. And, yes, I was using the gray ghost jig. But, I was also using the blue thunder on a chartreuse head and caught fish on it as well. The gray ghost may have caught a few more fish than the blue thunder, but most of them were the bream and chinks. The chinks, especially, like the gray ghost tipped with a red crappie niblet. I didn't keep a very accurate count, but I believe as far as crappie were concerned the blue thunder and gray ghost were very close.
