Well I've decided to join the crowds on the bone this year some, I saw some pics in cdc from members posting and boats all around, so I figure I can just get in amongst everyone else. Lol. My question is when do the crappie move into the deeper water in the channels. May have to make a trip or 2.

it is about right now that they start their move. I went a few years back the very first of November and they were in the channel big time. there have been a few posts that have said they are moving now.

you need to try to join us at our gathering at d'arbonne this year. it is 24-26 October. we all rent cabins and have a large large time. big eating on Friday nite with a huge fish fry on Saturday nite. I've got a couple extra bunks in my cabin if ya need somewhere to lay your head. just let me know. this way you can follow someone to the spot(s) where the fish are. let me know if you wanna take me up on my offer for the bunk.

A few people are starting to pick up a few along the edges of the channel. I'm going to start fishing this week; been to busy the last few weeks.

jakes is the launch at the north west corner of the hwy 33 bridge. I have launched there a bunch. I also launch at the state park and fish just up from there. there are also some launches down the lake from the bridge, only launched at one of those and it was about 7 years ago. just look for the pile of boats and you will know where to fish. LOL
