Went back to Sorrel after work Friday PM. Made it to the back about 4 pm. Worked the button wood for a while with a black n chart. tube under a cork, but only caught small bass.

Work the grass a bit with the 3tail and caught a few sacs. So that means they got to be suppended in the middle of the canal. Bingo, that's were most were caught. Ended with a dozen or so sacs, a cat, bream and one keeper bass.

and THAT is informational. All fish here on the Pearl are on a similar pattern. Backwater is not too low but too stagnant except at the mouths in the middle and even the they're smaller fish.
Word is sand main river, current, water running backwards. Find a sand bar.
I took two shots to the chin for that info.
80 yr old judo timers take info too seriously.

Great catch Mr M. I've been working on my jig swing while searching for a motor.
    It's coming.……

Me Gene.....level is precautionary...AND I'm over ambitious when it comes to fishing
mr M advised against anything under 14',
    BUT
Everything's gon be alright and better.
If I upgrade it'll be for oneof them fancy engineered fish bowls in MS.
As far as the pipe wrench…. When is it ever wrong to have a pipe wrench handy?
    Think trailer work...
    Or just a heavy hand
