    I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July. Besides a good batch of ribs I plan on pausing to give thanks for what our country's founders did for us. Please be extra careful on the water this weekend because there will be lots and lots of people out on the waterways and not all will be sober unfortunately. Having said that please enjoy yourselves and have a great Fourth.

    We celebrated yesterday but the fireworks were tonight. Linda loves to watch them. We usually watch them from a distance but tonight I decided to get close. I parked where most of the viewers were but when they let loose the first one, I started up the van and headed in that direction. I finally found a spot about a couple of hundred yards away from the launch site. We could see them as they launched and follow the skyward and when the would explode we'd feel the percussion and watch it burst right overhead. Linda was like a kid, she had never been under the fireworks like tonight. It really make her day. Happy 4th everyone even if it's the 5th.
