Default Henderson June 21st Mixed Bag

Went to Henderson this morning. Got there at 6 am. Man was it hot. Managed to catch a few. Caught the sacalait dock shooting with a roadrunner.
The shad started flying and bass exploding on the surface. Some of the bass came all the way out the water, so I cast out my silver colored bandit and wham. Caught 2 bass real quick. Switched to topwater sexy shad color and caught another. Hooked on to a 5 pounder, but he came off. Wound up with 5 bass and 5 sacalait. Gave one of the bass away to someone at the launch. Not a bad trip.

Sounds like you done good. Are you not trying any spider action this year?

    Thanks guys.

I tried spider rigging the last few times I've gone but no luck. I know they are down there, they just don't wanna bite.

Yes, that was me dock shooting under that party barge. First time I tried it, takes a little practice. But it paid off so I'll be trying it again real soon.

I've never had any luck with spiders, and the party barge doesn't have to be there long to hold fish. IMO
