Default Big Alabama or Benoit tomorrow?

Hi guys. So I've been fishing Henderson a good bit and want to venture somewhere else. I'm either wanting to fish big Alabama or Benoit tomorrow morning. Where do you think would be best? It's gonna be a combination sac/bass trip.

Welcome to the forum! I'm glad your with us. Keep us updated on your trips please - and, as you can probably tell, we like pictures. Can't help you on Big Alabama or Benoit.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm semi new to the area. Moved to Carencro from Alabama about two years ago. I'm slowly learning Henderson, but just want to see other water. I mostly bass fish, but I've been trying to teach myself how to sac a lait fish. Not having much luck.
As far as bass, since the water has started dropping I've been doing good on a green Texas rigged yum dinger and spro frogs around anywhere there are high banks. Caught 7 this morning. No size to them, but big enough to filet. Sorry no pics

I'm in a new camo 18ft xpress with a 90. Flag me down if ya see me.

Big Bamma is more of a bass spot according to the old timers I met in there. Doesn't mean you want catch crappie though. Very nice area with few users. It's a deep enough bayou, but there are a good many things to hit with your motor so take it easy. I fish if from a kayak, but hadn't been this year.

Hey CamoXpress...... to the forum....Henderson is about the only place I fish mainly because it is the closest to home.....if you caught those bass in Henderson, then you are doing as good or better than anyone I talked to recently.....I do not fish those 2 places you mentioned but some guys on here have with varied results......course, a lot depends on the time of year.....I am going back to Henderson Wednesday to check out the bite....I'll be looking for the camo boat.....is it a tiller, stick steer or side console.....if you see me in my Triton fish & ski, flag me down......

Prefers Shiners. It's a side console. And I'll be looking for you too.

I'd go to Benoit but not expect too much. I may go tomorrow just to get out.

Big Alabama isn't usually good until the water drops below 17ft(Little Alabama gauge). The level is a little above 18ft. now, but it is dropping. I think that I will try the Benoit area tomorrow.
