    Default Cocodrie lake 5/10/14

Caught 14 today from 6-12:00. Bulk/chartreuse jig under cork. Didn't find them until 9:00. Left them biting .

Way to go man. That's an encouraging report since the last time I was up there in the fall there were all those dead fish everywhere. That picture of you with the fish looks like the area we saw most of the dead ones. What kind of pattern were they on. The post spawn has me confused right now.

We fished for 3 hours in the main channel at our favorite spots only producing 1 small bass and 2 bream. We moved to Bennet bay, which is a side shallow lake. I started throwing a jig about a foot under a cork and starting catching right away. That photo of the duck blind produced about 5 or 6 fish. Moved in and around the cypress trees and picked one up here and there.

Dumb me I would have figured they would be out of the bay. Did you see any eggs when you cleaned them? I'm just curious as I won't be going there for a long time. It's just a bit far from here.

Man, I was raised fishing and duck hunting Cocodrie. Thanks for the photos, brings back a lot of memories. I have only been back once, since my father died in 97.

No eggs, Mernentau. that's over. The picture is of my fishing buddy. My mug is too ugly for the camera. LOL. it is a beautiful lake. The water is still a little high. I mean that there is still water back into the woods where you can't fish. When it goes down into just the channel, the fishing is a lot better. Won't be long.
