Default My day with the grandson

Well all went well and Logan and I launched the boat about 9 AM and headed out. tddfrt had given me a hint for a location so off we went. We only caught one shell cracker and one sac-au-lait but the bluegills were willing. The bite wasn't fast but by the end of the day we had more than enough for supper. It was great being out with Logan and watching him bait his own line with worms and take his fish off the hook on most of them. He is very squeamish and faints at the sight of blood, so him doing that really impressed me. He had a good time but got hot and tired. He one of those electronic kids that can sit for hours playing video games in air condition. He a great kid but like all kids he is his own self. Love him a lot.

Nice catch Gene. It's always good to be on the water. My grandson is only 16 months so I got a ways to go but my youngest son is 29 and we burn 'em up.
Don't knock him playing games. My oldest who is 34 was the same way. He would sit on my lap at 5 yrs old and program an old TI 994A computer I had way, way back. Today, he works at home in his drawers programming for a company he's part owner of and is making 4 times what I do! And he still plays games and owns ALL the gaming systems. I'm so jealous and proud at the same time.
And my youngest also works with computers in the IT department at Turner Industries. I must have done something right. LOL

Very nice post Gene, enjoyed that a lot. You did what's most important. Looks like your fig trees are doing well there in the background.

Todd, we were only keeping the big males although I did find a couple of smaller females in the live well.

    "G" I think he had a good time. I know I did.

Paul that's encouraging news, glad to hear it.

Vet, you're right, that's the cure.

Randy thanks for your comments. The fig trees in the background are just a drop in the bucket to the whole batch of them. All are doing great and I'm looking forward to a productive season.
