No success on white perch. Only 2. Tried hard with road runners. In spite of 15 mph winds for 2 and a half days caught lots of bass. Kept the 2 white perch and 19 bass. Biggest bass 3.58. Also had the net in the water to net a big bass. My friend had one on at least as big as my 7.2 mount. Made a jump and threw the spinner bait seconds from landing it. Made us feel bad for about 2 seconds. Would have put it back anyway. Also he hooked a huge turtle on a brush hog. I caught the biggest fish. Took 10 minutes to land a catfish, that I foul hooked on a lizard. Did not have my large scale, but it was a lot bigger than a 15 lb one I caught 2 years ago. I will post pictures on off topic La. Man that wind was rough. Danny

dang... wish i would have known you were up there danny... would have stopped by and said hello.

went up yesterday and the day before... Did pretty well the day before, caught a limit of white perch most were average sized but had a few dinks and a few hogs mixed in as well.

yesterday the white perch were a NO GO at the previous spot... only picked up 2 in over an hour... switched to bass on brush hogs and lizards and did okay on them.

was hoping to get some advice on where to target the white perch shallow.... we tried for about 2 hours to do that... and didnt find a single one shallow.

I took it easy... I think a few people were a little unhappy with me at the boat ramp the day i went by myself... i took it slow slow.... ended up 2 boats had to wait about 5 minutes for me to load up... told em i was sorry and why.. they understood..

Nice catch! I fished up there about 2 weeks ago and did well shallow, but I could not catch them in the same spot 2 days in a row. I did best finding coves or protected banks that were not getting fished hard.
