Default Poverty Point 3/29 - lots of wind, only one fish

Title pretty much says it all. The wind was terrible and the fish were not wanting my shiners. It was a bad sign showing up there on a Saturday and less that 20 vehicles at the launch. I did get to spend some time with my youngest daughter though, so it was a great day.

Fished there five days this week. I caught only 2 crappie and 21 cats. Great park, friendly people, lots of wind, and rain with storms.

I was sure looking for that blue boat with the power pole. Today was one of those days that the $ for one doesn't seem so bad. Lol. I wanted to try one of the areas off the highway, but the big water was white-capping and I didnt want to take my 5 year old in that. I'll probably try Tuesday or so.

Yeah those anchors pay for themselves on days like today. Not sure where I'm going on the lake tomorrow. Maybe church will give me some ideas.

I thought they would have too. Water temp was 66.3 near the surface. I don't know much about the reservoir though. I think I've fished it 4 times.

Bob - I think you were the one I talked to at the ramp as you were leaving. I did exactly what you said you would do that afternoon and caught 5 slabs. I missed a few too. Thanks for the advice.
